Kennard Morris
I was born and raised in the Los Angeles area, so being surrounded by media has pretty much been a part of my life from day one. I got into music early, thanks to my parents signing me up for lessons, and that passion eventually turned into a full-on career. Funny enough, that career in music opened the door to film, and that’s where I found my way back to photography.
I’d always loved taking pictures, travel shots, random moments, anything that caught my eye, but being on set around so much camera gear and so many talented people pushed me to dig deeper. Everyone was talking about apertures, focal lengths, lighting setups… and my curiosity kicked in fast. Then a cinematographer introduced me to the strobist movement and told me it would “change my life.” He wasn’t wrong.
Once I started learning lighting, everything clicked. Suddenly I was creating images I never thought I could, and that was just the start. As the tech evolved, so did I—upgrading from speedlights to studio strobes, spending more time in the studio, and building a team of creatives who shared the same drive. Before long, I was shooting for brands and influencers and really finding my voice.
Today, I’m an award-winning, published photographer, and I’m excited to bring my skills and resources to your project.
